Transparent Language Everywhere Audio: Italian Reviews

Having purchased several audio-only Italian courses, we have to say that Everywhere Italian is our least favorite.

1) The audio is fairly variable, that is, the volume level is inconsistent and the recording of speakers' voices indicates much variation in distance to microphone. This makes listening in a vehicle difficult.

2) The material, while quite comprehensive, is presented in a way which requires manipulation of the playback device - again problematic in a vehicle. Rather than, say, presenting words and phrases slowly with some repetition, material is spoken at native-language speed and depends upon the user 'rewinding' to try to understand.

3) Quite realistically, much of the material is not particularly relevant to occasional travelers, and frequent travelers will want a much more in-depth course.

We did not take advantage of the 6-month return policy - which is quite generous - though we probably should have done so.

In summary, I would not recommend Transparent Language Everywhere Audio: Italian to a friend.
